About me

My name is Brian Clifton and I work for GoDaddy.com as a Senior Software Engineer. A lot of my work involves the automation and support of the Dedicated and Virtual Dedicated hosting products. I've been writing software for computers since 1993; mostly C/C++ for Macintosh, Windows, and Linux.

So that's who I am professionally. This is my personal website though; it has no ties to my employer. I came up with the idea for this a while ago and whenever I have time I try to refine what is here.

My original idea for this website was to post stuff that computer programmers searching Google would find. A few years later, I started adding content about Mercedes-Benz cars. This website is also how I try to polish up my web development skills. I did a lot of search engine optimization and marked up a lot of content using RDFa.

When I'm not busy with work or this website I spend time with my wife, family, and friends. I like traveling, golfing, going out on road trips, cooking, and playing video games.
